Pioneering Drone and Analytics Systems for Ecology

12.10.2016 – at the 13th International Fair of energy and ecology, Belgrade Fair, LOGIT participated as a guest exhibitor at the stand of the City of Čačak whose slogan was “City of Čačak – a modern city.”

In his introductory speech at the opening of the stand, Deputy Mayor Prof. Dr. Radoš Pavlović said: “We want to introduce City of Čačak as a modern city, with all its capacities and as a city with great development opportunities.” LOGIT perfectly fits into this vision of development with its airborne imaging and automated analysis solution.

The project consists of collecting aerial data with sensor-equipped drones and automated image analysis tools to gain insight into critical points. Analyses were performed for the irrigation canal Parmenac-Katrga, a length of 24 kilometers, as well as the unsanitary landfill Prelići, an area of 120.000 m2. This was the first time in Serbia and the region that a drone powered solution was used for analysis of a landfill.

Several agricultural households were also included in the project, mostly fruit and vegetable producers, in the vicinity of the City of Čačak. Analysis of areal image was done applying LOGIT’s application AgriSens Plant Counter.
